in
1867
and
1878.
He
lived
at
this
time
in
Ala.
He
was,
in
1866
at
the
Chattachoo
chee
Singing
Convention,
in
Paulding
County,
Ga.
He
was
a
very
fine
leader
and
fond
of
vocal
music.
He
was
also
a
member
of
the
Southern
Musical
Conven
tion
from
1850
to
1870.
He
composed
several
songs
in
the
"Sacred
Harp."
The
time
of
his
birth
and
death
are
unknown
to
us.
This
song
is
partly
the
old
mel
ody
of
the
old
tune,
"Let
Us
Walk
in
ihe
Light
of
God."
