Reese;
born
in
Jasper
County,
G.a,
1828;
lived
in
Coweta
County
for
many
years;
composed
a
great
deal
of
music.
He
was
a
fine
leader
and
director
of
music,
and
several
times
president
of
the
Southern
Musical
Convention,
also
Chattahoochee
Singing
Convention,
each
of
which
are
still
in
existence,
both
of
them
having
been
organized
50
years
ago.
Reese
died
in
1900
and
is
buried
at
Newnan,
Ga.
