After
diligent
search,
we
have
been
unable
to
find
the
author
of
the
above
tune.
It
has
been
in
The
Sacred
Harp
since
the
revision
in
1850.
It
is
highly
probable
that
the
tune
was
composed
by
David
or
Daniel
Morgan.
Any
way,
it
is
believed
to
be
named
after
the
celebrated
musician,
David
Morgan.
There
are
short
notices
of
Samuel,
David
and
Daniel
Morgan
in
these
sketches
with
different
tunes
in
the
book.
