The

old
tune,
and
has
been
of
long
standing,
it
was
pub-
lished
in
the
Sacred
Harp
by
B.
F.
White,
1850,
and
in
each
edition
since
that
time
and
in
earlier
song
books,
but
none
of
them
give
the
name
of
the
author.
The
words
or
hymn
appears
on
page
977
in
the
Presbyterian
Psalmist
of
a
very
old
date
and
was
coupled
with
the
tune
Archdale,
the
hymn
has
5
verses.
